Hi, as Brant knows, I'm just compiling details of wartime civillian Huffmans for publishing on CABE now.

H93937 is the earliest of the frames built to strict wartime regulations (no headbadge, H in front of serial number) I have noted yet.

It should have been built between June and December 1942. If it's the original fork, then the date code (two or three numbers, last one probably a 2 or 3) will help confirm this, and make the list more accurate.

I would also be interested to know if there is any further stamping covered by the oil under the serial number. Possibly a 1, possibly the year. Probably nothing.
