Hello everyone, I have a vintage Bowden Spacelander project bicycle for sale. I acquired this in a trade a while ago with the intention of restoring it but I’m just too busy working on project cars and don’t think I’ll be getting to this anytime soon. As you can see from the pictures it’s in good shape but missing a few things like the front & rear lights, moldings, chain, and emblems. I found all of them on eBay today after doing a quick search. Bicycle Heaven is the seller for those parts. Looking to get somewhere around $6k for it. The bike is located in Orange County, California. Text me if interested. 714-880-4325. Thanks

Any evidence of screw holes behind the seat where the serial # tag would be, how about up front where the Bowden nameplate would have been screwed to the bike right and left side. Any history on it? GLWTS!

The pawn star bike shown , is a reproduction , from about 1990 , the repros had that trim inside the center of the bike

Someone sanded down the fiberglass trim where the peak moldings get mounted for some reason. I’m not a bicycle expert and don’t know much about these. I restore classic cars and traded a rebuilt 1962 Lincoln continental engine and transmission for this bike a few years ago. Seemed like a good deal at the time. What’s the easiest way to tell if it’s an original or repro? Thanks for your help guys.

Please guys no rude comments. I’m a total bike newbie here. If anyone can tell me what’s the best way to tell if it’s an original or repro I would really appreciate it. I got the bike in the condition you see and haven’t done anything to it myself. Thanks for your help. -Dave

If it is an original bike I might be interested in it but would like to know if it’s original first

Check for the serial number mounting holes and front emblem holes, as mentioned in a previous post. Also, some good closeup shots of the headlight and taillight holes, crank area, etc. will help.

Here’s more pics of the light holes and left side of the bike. I also got a 36’ silver king in the same trade but I kinda wanna keep that.
