On Prewar Schwinn balloon bikes are the boys and girls springers interchangeabl. I know the steer tube is longer are the forks and truss longer?

No , they are not interchangeable. longer steering tube and truss rod length.. Steering tubes vary as do the fork arms. The pre=war super springers have a greater radius on the fork arms. Length of fork arms also differ on the early forks. They may look the same, but they are not.Below are all boy's springers.

between 1938 and 1953. There's at least 5 different ones shown. One is the re-pop phantom[cream colored one]
