Finally riding a big boys bike
I picked this up from my uncle a while back. He told me a little Japanese lady used to use it for the farmer’s market on the weekends. She ended up selling it to my uncle. Turned out to be too small for him, so I acquired it.
20 inch tire in front, 16s in the rear. Bell, tires, and chain have been replaced. Reflectors on the wheels were added. Everything else is original.
I’ve looked all over the internet and have only found a few examples of this trike.
From what I gather, it’s from Japan or Thailand. Not even sure what year it was made. Either way, I’m happy to have it in my collection.

That is really cool!
My dad had a Bridgestone Picnica that was a folding bike.
All you had to do to fold it up, was squeeze the two seat stays together, and the bike collapsed into a little bundle.
We always laughed that one of us would reach over and deploy that thing while he was riding it.

Thanks!
A lot of people that have seen this bike in person see it as a novelty type of bike because of its size. For the original owner, it must’ve felt like a full size bike due to her height, according to my uncle. 😂😂😂

Schwinn actually imported these bikes and rebadged them as Schwinn. They are cool because unlike most trikes, you can lean them to either side making them ride more like a bicycle. The only color I've seen in the Schwinn version is Blue or Yellow. @detroitbike has one he rides at the swaps, maybe he'll have some more info for you. Here's a graphic I found about the Bridgestone version from 1982.

These are extremely over engineered tricycles but so cool! You dont get the "tip" that comes with a regular tricycle on uneven pavement or on turns. This is by far the best tricycle to own!
