50+ years ago I made an RR bike adapter like this after seeing one in a 1908 Sears catalog parents had. It worked great but stupid kid I rode it on an active track[emoji54].
Riding the rail was amazing, smooth, effortless.
Sidecar if you could make it as lightweight as possible (and a lightweight passenger[emoji16]) would do ok on level paved ground I would think.
