Can anyone ID this old chrome MB?

This turned up at the dump today. Any ideas on maker? Looks like it would clean up and make a nice rider.

That looks to be a '88 or '89 Schwinn High Sierra. Definitely with the brakes. Nice find!

On second though, I am incorrect. The Schwinn had fillet brazed top and down tubes at the head tube and TIG welded everywhere else. Also, the extra brace at the head tube/down tube junction is unusual. Possibly a KHS from about the same era (mid to late 80s).

The chainstay U-brakes are cool as hell.

Found it, Ross Mt. Whitney circa 1986.

I agree that it is a Ross. A Schwinn would have had a badge (drilled head tube).
