Chainguard Talk - Prewar Perforated v. Dimpled - Opinions please

Hey knowledgeable bicycle folks!

Has anyone ever seen this guard?
It is of the same general style as the common prewar (McCauley?) perforated chainguard but instead it is dimpled in the same pattern.

I would love to find a catalog reference to tie down what it is?

For comparison sake I borrowed a photo of the other guard I mentioned from the late great Phil Scott.
