hope he did not toss the original seat to put that monstrosity on it. that is a fairly new replacement. and butt ugly.

I have doubts as to what it was/is. If you get in on a close up of the chainguard it says Deluxe, barely noticeable. You can see the "uxe" of the word Deluxe. A '65 chainguard for a Deluxe would of had white area on the top section with Deluxe Stingray within it. A fenderless model would of had all lime color and just said Schwinn Stingray. J38 is fenderless, J39 had fenders. Unless I am mixed up.
