hub is dated 3rd quarter of 1940.

Serial number on frame is also a 1940 Westfield.

I generally only see the SW floating hub on '41 model bikes and would probably say this is a '41 model. Sweet, original paint bike! V/r Shawn

I'm in need of a floating hub cover. Someone cut one cut one of the originals, not really sure why... maybe for a speedo??? I have an ad in the wanted section also. Was there ever a reproduction of the cover?

Never been reproduced to my knowledge. You might luck out on just a cover seeing as how the bearing races didn't hold up well. V/r Shawn
