Riding a '38 Autocycle Deluxe
I have recently started work on a new project.
It is a "Minaco", from the late 40's/early '50s and it's a lovely, lugged steel frameset made in Palma, Mallorca as can be seen from the headbadge.....
The frame has, to me anyway, a really beautiful patina and I intend to leave it as is.
Its a fairly rare marque and online info is equally rare.
The name "Minaco" stems from the owner/frame builders name, MIguel NAdal COmas. They were constructed near the velodrome in Palma. This much I have learned from my friend Jaume who amazingly gave me this as a gift recently. We communicated as best we could, but Spanish unfortunately is not my strong point, and this is why I am appealing for help here.
As you can see below, there are the remnants of 2 transfers (decals) on the frame.
The first is obviously what's left of the manufacturers logo I think.....
The second is the one I'm struggling with. Can anyone tell me what that lettering might read.....
It's a long shot I know, but I'm hoping there are some people in this great, cycling community that can shed some light on this.
Many thanks,
Darren.
