'Lil Knee Scuffer
Hey, I am listing my Cleveland 92 for sale or trade for early motorcycle parts. Lozier Manufacturing Company/American Bicycle Company. Barn find condition. Very restorable solid bike! Or would be a cool display pretty much as it sits. Check the pics and let me know if you want to see any more or have any questions. Don’t be scared of the listed price.. make an offer, offer a trade... Into anything old and American made...

Why is this bike worth three grand? Is there a precedent in some recent auction with a toc bike this crusty going for that much?

It’s probably not worth 3 grand to anyone. I put that number on it and said don’t let it scare you and feel free to make an offer. Do you care to make an offer or just fishing for argument? It’s basically a ‘make a reasonable offer’ listing but they ask you to put a price, so I did. People are free to ask whatever they want... you’re not required to pay it. It must get exhausting being the price police. Thanks for your comment! -Mike

Just wondering if there was something special about this brand of bike, if they are especially sought after etc.. Also was hoping the TOC market was that high for a bike like this then I would know I could sell my bike for a similar or higher price because it is in a lot better shape than this. I would actually be amazed if something that needed that much work sold for more than a thousand bucks, but then as I said, I am not up on the current market.

Nothing ‘super special’ about this particular bike or anything... its a crusty survivor.. certainly has some good parts. The Corbin 1902 hub is worth a few bucks for sure.. pedals are cool. Chain, headbadge, crankset, etc. it starts to tally up to over a thousand bucks pretty quick. Id probably realistically take around $1500 for it, but I’d much rather prefer to trade it for early American motorcycle parts.. If anyone ‘had to have it’ I’d be into making a deal. The $3,000 number was just a starting point.... but maybe you’d be surprised what yours would bring in todays market. -Mike
