Coke Bottle Tricycle Handgrips?

I have these for sale in the bike parts for sale section. They fit perfectly on tricycle handlebars. Can someone tell me if that was their intended purpose?

Hand trucks and similar equipment that have a 3/4" handle? Portable air compressors for the cornstuction industry? Brake release handle on a locomotive or joy stick on a fighter jet maybe? Cool grips.
