Ca. 53 but the serial will tell for sure which should be located on the left rear drop out (where the axle comes through). A pretty rough piece with a severely bent fork and wrong headlight. The rest looks original to the bike. A restoration would cost at least double what the bike is worth finished. If I were selling I'd do nothing to it and sell as is and go for about $350. You could part it and make more money but its more of a PITA and takes more time. If keeping it I'd straighten that fork and do a good service and replace only what you had to in order to make it functional. V/r Shawn

Thank you so much. Was wondering if the forks were meant to look that way but i guess not. I will look for the serial number but what or how do i reference the number to? What info will i get from it?

The flames, turned down bars and absolute abuse this bike has suffered tells a great story. The kid that owned it must have gone on to hot rods or dirt bikes. Oh, and I agree with everything Freqman1 said above. Leave it just the way it is and someone will display it that way.
You are an incredible man to think of the kid who owned it and how he grew up into hot rods and motorcycles. My wife’s dad. He recently passed and this bike was found in the basement. He raced motorcycles and loved building cars. He was in the process of rebuilding 79 Trans Am which was her first car. He loved NASCAR he would vhs record ever race.
i can’t even describe how the both of us are feeling after reading your comment of him and you nailed him and his life with a simple picture of the bike. Thinking we are going to keep it now after reading that. Thank you

U should keep it from what u just said it fits him to a tee

soak a rag in wd40 and wipe the bike down it will bring some life back to it add air to the tires u may get lucky and not need new tubes and take it for a ride just the way it is and reminisce about the man I’m sure u will find enjoyment and everyone that sees that bike will think it’s so cool looking Keep it

I’m sure his wife’s dad rode the bike with a bent fork for years.. mabe not tho that could have been the reason he stopped but the rear hub doesn’t look dry like the ones I get in Florida and most of them do just fine with a squirt of oil ofcorse a full re-grease would b better but if they pull it out a spend just a little time they will enjoy it and mabe spend a little money so it can stay in the family for years to come
