Greetings All, s/n A161267. How do I figure out the date of manufacture? The one chart I found says 1931. I don't think that's right.

It's a Columbia Built Speedliner. Has a 2 speed (lever shift) hub. Jon

The bike in the pictures is 1950s. The Bendix hub on it was sold roughly 1955 to 1960. I would guess Jan 1961 from the A1xxxx number. Is that close enough? Roger

They went back to A serials twice. Once, in the mid '30s, and again in 1955. Your bike is a '55.
