Andy Dee

Finally riding a big boys bike
Found this at a yard sale. Any info as far as age and rarity is appreciated. Light and tank horn both work. Newer tires.

Neatly done refurbishment.
A complete bike with a tank, rack, etc. is rarer than those without.
Westfield bikes have an alphabetically-coded serial numbering system; the letter may indicate the year.

Where would the serial number be found?

Headlight is a reproduction from the 1986 reproduction 5 Stars. Paint job is not original or correct. Hand grips not correct style for the period. This style "coffin tank" was used on the entry level motobikes in the 50's and it does not have the built in kick stand so it is not a 5 Star or even a 3 Star. It is still a nice rider though. It is not rare but that is irrevelent anyway as it is an incorrect restoration. What matters is if you like it and will enjoy riding it. Values are always subjective in cases like this. How I look at it is it is certainly worth as much or more than a new Walmart bike. $300 or less is my guess in most markets.

Below is from the 1955 catalog and probably what your bike originally looked like.
