Is this Columbia serial # 1939? There is a G and number 11 above the frame number.

I believe that it's a 1940.

Westfield restarted with 1936-A.
(unless it’s a 1941-F?).

Hi Adrian. Rear hub is New Departure and badge is Westfield as pictured below. Thanks

Thanks for taking the trouble to do that.

And I apologise, I've made a mistake.

I just had a closer look at the number, it's E107016. G11. Which makes it a November 1940 bike. The paint on the bottom horizontal of the E made it look like F 1941.

I hope that didn't cause too many problems.
