Thank you @bikewhorder ...

This Wright Brothers Rear Hub was initially-placed
in the preview catalog listing. Fotos are those in
initial listing.

Could have been pulled from actual auction activity
for reasons yet unknown. Am still a bit curious about
the item. ... Woodenshoebee ?

Still wonderin' what happened.

I's o.k., tho' .....

Phil Scott .. @shoe3 ... gave me one of these hubs in
outstanding condition years and years ago. I have
never forgotten his kindness.

Relic still has it's blood-red. felt, oil seals and tapered
roller bearings. Still has it's rear cog attached.

Rear cog has a 1/8'' outward spacer machined into one
side .. and a loose spacer (washer). In addition .. the thread
area of the cog is actually a bronze ''cassette'' permanently
affixed to the cog. Makes for an easy change-out.

Tuner could dial-in that cog so that it is perfectly in line
with the chainring. Chain would never be abrasive or rude
to the cog ... limited side friction could ensue.

When and where did shoe3. make his discovery ?

Many years ago at MLC when they were located in Perrysburg,
Ohio. Told me Larry sold it to him for just a few bucks.
Item was in a box of other antique hubs -- in the ''hub-boneyard''
area of the shop.

Talked with Larry a bit later during that Fall Meet ... Larry said
Phil .. shoe3 .. was a swell guy.
