Correct sprocket for 1940 Autocycle special

I'm the Wiz, and nobody beats me!
I have a 1940 Schwinn Autocycle special with the typical mens deluxe chain wheel. The one that looks like a spider web. This particular model bike came with the rear expander drum style brake and a free wheel cog. The gear ratio is pretty high for anything but flat or down hill riding. The 1940 catalog shows this model with the four hole style chain wheel that is usually associated with the womens bikes of the period. It was a smaller diameter ring hense a lower gear ratio. The guru's in the know have told me that this was just an artist conception and not what they have seen. So my question is: Has anyone seen an original 1940 Schwinn Autocycle special with the four hole style chain wheel?
