Corvette 5 speed rear axle

The rear axle on my Corvette 5 speed is bent. Is this axle only used on the 5 speed or is it used on other Schwinn bikes? In other words, what do I need to replace it?
Thank you for your replies. BTW, this bike has been the biggest PIA. to restore. I can't believe the hack "fixes" that the previous owner did.

After what I went thru at work today trying to set up a Brand Spanking new machine that was all f'd up from the factory, I have to smile thinking I'm not the only one dealing with a big PITA.

A local bike shop should have what you need, but I seem to remember you saying there isn't one close by. Just about any Schwinn lightweight with the French rear hubs are the same like the Collegiate & Varsity. I've found it's sometimes cheaper in the long run to buy a whole complete hub and then you'll have other replacement parts like cones, nuts, washers, jamb nuts, dust caps etc. And they are sometimes just as cheap as what some people want for just an axle.
