This is really cool! I used to ride long distances on my 1940s Hawthorne when I was a kid. Awesome bike, wonder if many people would attempt that these days on such a bike. Good one for the Morrow haters, though I've had some Morrow hubs with a virtually nonexistent brake, and they are a bit complicated, so I get it.

I like that he didn't need to haul a bunch of extra stuff, minimal riding to enjoy the ride...when he said he didn't carry water though I had a small panic!
