Cycle Age Factory output estimates 1899

This is interesting - as it shows ( to a degree ) a rough estimate of the number of wheels being made for a season. It also shows the strength that ABC ( the combination ) was attempting to gather through sheer numbers. Note that Miami Cycle Co. conservative output was estimated at 15000 as was Black Mfg Co. and Pierce at 8000.

15000 output for Black Mfg. Company (they made the Tribune bicycle) is a good estimate for 1899 production. My Tribune research puts 1899 serial numbers in the #35000 to #50000 range +/-.

June 22, 1899 - The Wheel and Cycling Trade Review: Earliest reference I have found so far to Black Mfg. Co. becoming part of ABC (The American Bicycle Company).

This means that the Crescent Bicycle manufacturing ended earlier, than thought.

The July 20, 1899 The Wheel and Cycling Trade Review reported that on Tuesday July 18, 1899, the "official announcement of the formation of the American Bicycle Company was given out to the press." Organization efforts were finalized during August, September and October 1899. 1900 was first model year of American Bicycle Company controlled production.
