Hukah

Finally riding a big boys bike
Hi.
I recently purchased this light (haven’t received it yet) and am hoping to find out what bike(s) this would have come on?
If anyone cares to share some knowledge it would be very much appreciated.

Thanks gang and stay safe out there.

Unfortunately, it’s missing its namesake topknot, which is its most distinguishing feature.
It was sold as an aftermarket light, made to mount on the handlebar of any bike sold in the mid to late 1930’s.

Would it look out of place on a 45?
I think I’ve read a “name” for this shape of light but I can’t remember what it was (?)

thx for your help

Did it have an “aerodynamic” -ly shaped stamped sheet metal piece?
BTW the 45 is a long tank

It’s official model name, was the “Roadliter”
But, everybody called it the “Rooster” because it had a feathered topknot, that made it look like a rooster.
There was also an accompanying horn that went with it, called the “Roadblaster”
A 1945 model bike would be late for it, but, they are still available in 2021 on the second hand market, so you could put them on a carbon fiber race bike if you wanted to.

Good info, thx. Now I’ll goog those things.
I play with sheet metal so maybe I’ll try my hand at replicating the topknot.
Appreciate that
