Delta horn coil

Trying to determine problem with my nice clean Delta horn. Getting no results with new batteries (2) and everything in good shape. Question: can the coil be bad and still read continuity through it?

If it's shorted it will still read continuity, if it has an open circuit it won't

Are new coils available for this repair?

Before you do that try adjusting the set screw. You can also hit it momentarily with a 9v battery and see if that don't get it working. V/r Shawn
