Love this bike and story...everyone seems to forget that manufacturing in those days, and even today, is not a perfect science.

Seems obvious to me, her folks bought a boys bike, and to give it a more feminine touch added the white rack and guard special order. Could be wrong. Killer DX and Glwts!

Do recall the original owner are saying there wasn’t a whole lot of bikes in stock in the small southern Minnesota hardware store, So that’s what they bought
