Detroit Bike Shop Interior 1900-1920

In another thread @veloturysta posted a link to this Library of Congress picture of a Motown Bike/Record Shop from early 1900s. Crazy mix of bikes and victrolas in the photo. Its another 50 years or so until Berry Gordy starts Motown Records, but they already have a shelf of records to listen to.

What do you think is in all those little boxes on the right hand shelves? There is a ton of them shoved in all those little compartments.

They had some nice stuff in the back of the store. New Excelsiors and Indians.

@onecatahula I thought it might be that at first too, but the boxes look more rectangular and they aren’t all the same size. ??

@cyclingday those bars look wide with very little rise but still kind of curvy.

I really like the look of the crowns on the two forks to the left of that bike.
