Did this start life as a muscle bike, is the red one a Garton

What makes me think not is the straight bar and the reverse facing drop outs, no badge but vertical holes, 20 in. Definitely a Frankenbike now. Thanks if you can ID either one. I bought both of them for $7.

1st is a late 40-50's ( serials #'s will tell ) Westfield built ( Columbia badge maybe ) that dad probably upgraded to a Stingray style.
