Does the Bevin Bell make my Butt look big?

I scored this Bevin egg bike bell to put on my Iver. I thought it was just crusty and needed a cleaning. Once I got it, I realised it is a black/grey color. After doing a bit of research I found they do come in this finish. Curious if this is a “Wartime” finish or was this a finish that was an available option?
