Riding a '38 Autocycle Deluxe
Need a little help from the DP Harris / Snyder knowledgeable ones.

Not sure what year this Gold Medal, I just picked up is.
It was mentioned that it may be a 36'.
What years were the "Gold Medal"s produced?
I'm thinking earlier.
Hence the reason I didn't post in the post 33 or the pre 33 forum

Has a "C" ND rear hub.
Believe that may narrow it down.
28" Wood rim.

Can't find a serial number stamping any where.
Scraped the BB underside nearly completely.
See the pics.
The dark red ir maroon with gold highlights and the green pins are amazing.
Had to have it!

Help me out guys...it's killing me not knowing.

Sweet paint job. I'm wondering if the SN could have been ground off the BB at some point.

Another one JD? 👍 Snyder made with DPH ring and Snyder frame tell-tales.. BBstamp may be too light to see. "C" hubs are pre-1933. Nice one!
Thanks. But, no stamping at all.
I scraped to bare metal.
As the BB shows, I thought.
My last Snyder had faint stamping as well.

The Gold Medal was from what years?
Hopefully that would narrow it down better.
Pre 33' is a good start
But, apparently there aren't that many in the collective hobby.
But, wondering why?

But, it's a nice one for sure

That's what I thought but, no evidence show brass or steel brush marks. Besides the bottom bracket had the original paint as the rest of the frame dies.
The underside of the frame paint was bubbled from some source. Possibly a heat source like a woodstove or even possibly water damage.

I think that I see an “R” (4th picture); as in 1930–R.
There was another Snyder bike, also lightly stamped with an “R”.
Also, looks like an intermediate frame with a ~4” head tube (versus 3.5”).

Maybe it was the Great Depression and they had to sell their number stamps for scrap just to make payroll?
