Durkopp chainless

My Hershey find this year #s relate to about 1915 (WW1) every thing is marked durkopp except front hub --a very early drum brake and not matching rim up front though the correct size . Years ago the bike got a new seat and a caliper brake on the back wheel .rear wooden rim takes clincher tires 28. X1 1/2 fit nice .

front hub is nickel plated rear hub has a few internal parts disabling the brake but the rest of it runs smooth I would like to find a correct seat I have a rim to match the rear clincher rim

Nice find. Most likely you will have to find a Hammock saddle which looks like in the attached picture. This is the German standard saddle, nearly all bicycles were equipped with from around 1905 till 1933. But be aware, these got quite rare in Germany too and are hard to find. But as this is most likely an export model, maybe Durkopp used a saddle more common in the area the bike was exported to. So a Christy Saddle could be a fitting choice.

Is the rear hub a Torpedo? If so, you can date the bike easly by disassembling the hub. Each part in the inside should be marked with 09 F&S XX (xx is the year of production).

Minha descoberta da Hershey este ano se refere a cerca de 1915 (Primeira Guerra Mundial), tudo está marcado como durkopp, exceto o cubo dianteiro - um freio a tambor muito antigo e não combinando com o aro na frente, embora o tamanho correto. Anos atrás, a moto ganhou um novo assento e uma pinça de freio na roda traseira. O aro de madeira traseiro leva pneus clincher 28. X1 1/2 fit nice.
