Jesse McCauley

McCauley Cycle Works
I’d love some catalog help with this one, worse for wear for sure but it has some really interesting gear left hanging on.

Racycle Narrow Tread badge appears original to the frame, crankset is intact with killer sunburst pedal I think I have a mate cage to.

Leaf spring saddle looks like a Garford to me, the hubset is very interesting- Cinch pre patent rear and a Thor front.

It was reaaaal crusty and grease bound but I’ve been working it down.
The last bit that I don’t quite understand is the chain, photos of that to follow.

This bike came out of the gonad-shrinking MC auction that I missed. Nick was kind enough to let me get this consolation prize for my weeks of stalking the auction, thanks @Nickinator and thanks to Darcie for the added help in handling, I know that was a heavy load.

Hi, does this patent help?

I notice Jesse's has a French connection. I did wonder if it was Canadian, but a Brevet SGDG ("Breveté Sans Garantie Du Gouvernement“ ) was only a Fench legal requirement.

Best Regards,

Adrian

Awesome parent drawing I hadn’t seen, thanks Adrian.

My guess was they were shooting for international market share? Wonder if many were exported?
