Cruisin' on my Bluebird
Nice straight early 26” balloon tire clincher front wheel.
Removed from an early-mid 30s Elgin Camelback.
Steel cladding has been painted with a brush. Not sure what the finish beneath is like, but the steel hasn’t rusted through anywhere and I didn’t see any dents.
What’s visible of the wood on the tire mounting surface looks like it’s in nice condition. Spokes look a little thin, but none are broken. Hub needs cleaning and lubricant. I haven’t checked the bearing surfaces, but it’s not gritty feeling.
Not a whole lot of these around I would guess.
