Wore out three sets of tires already!
Early Hawthorne Flyer. The serial number seems to be 49435, see attached photo at the end. The frame and forks are good and straight. The fenders have a few wrinkles but not bad at all. I lightly cleaned a couple of areas of the frame to see what was under the green paint and it seems the original paint was silver just like the underside of the fenders.
I just got this from my buddy and I decided to buy it for the 28" wheels but now I am wondering!
Almost seems a shame to separate the wheels from the bike. I rode it two miles and works just fine but as usual I suggest inspecting the hubs and all bearings. I will also be listing a period correct saddle on this site.
Complete bike with wheels $550.00 shipped in the lower 48
Everything without the wheels $275.00 shipped in the lower 48
If you have any questions either PM me on the CABE or phone me at 570-220-9523
Thanks
Dave
