Wore out three sets of tires already!
Does anyone recognize this leaf spring saddle? I can't make out the maker's stamp. Looks like it starts and ends with an "S"? I'm thinking early to mid 1890's? Any help appreciated.

Looks like the bottom word (last logo photo) says saddles using the two S’s and maybe the middle words says pat pend?

As a follow up, graphically if the "saddles" at he bottom uses the large S's then the name on top will probably start and end with the same S's, just as you suspected-
