Early Wooden Grip ID

Pulled these off an early 30’s set of motobike bars. Have a shiny hard coating almost like a plastic. Under close inspection I could see they were wooden. Great overall condition. Seems they would be for much earlier bike. I’m wondering if any of you have any info on these grips.

It seems the manufacturer was trying to make wood grips that look like rubber, so the WWII connection makes sense to me.

Brant is correct, WW2 era grips.
