Elgin frame dating help needed

I just got this bike and I am having trouble figuring out the date code...I know it is a Murray built Elgin, around 1940-1941 era...Just want to confirm the date of manufacture. Thanks for your help. It is appreciated.

That one doesn't give up much info. 188 is the Sears model #, and 'MOD-502' is a Murray built for Sears code. But it lacks a Murray date code, so ID'ing it further would be tough.

Elgin model ID needed...

Thanks Adam for the info...I have done several date code searches for Murray and Elgin but I am unable to confirm the exact date from the serial number code...Maybe someone can post a Sears catalog from 1941 or 1942 that shows this Elgin model...Here is a picture of the whole bike for reference. Thanks again for the help in identifying this bike.
