Elgin information

I have a post war Elgin bicycle that I would like to find out what year it was made. It's a girls bike, balloon tires, it has the vented skirts over the rear wheel, center kick stand.

I have seen only one example of an Elgin badged bike that was post WWII. My guess would be that it was early postwar production, possibly built from surplus parts.

Sears catalog info shows JC Higgins brand used as early as 1948 (maybe 47, don't have the info with me)
