Well I have used up all my bike luck for the year. I offered $500 for the girls bike before the auction they said no and that everything would be sold the day of the auction. Well I got the better deal. Got them for cheap too! Probably going to build the elgin oriole but the girls will be for sale today! Thanks everybody for the info given on the suicide shifter!
You may wish to try out the gear ratios on the girls bike and shifted both ways; it appears to have been matched with a 22 tooth front sprocket. Not sure if the rear is fixed due to the special shift setup.
The sprocket on the boys Westfield looks like a Rollfast economy model star sprocket.
Nice pair of Sears Elgin’s.
Hershey pa like 2 miles from the amusement park. They were auctioning off the estate and the guy who used to live there worked at the hershey plant and was selling a lot of Hershey related stuff. A little basket type thing that they use to sell hotdogs at baseball games went for $350 and it said Hershey chocolate on it. Some pretty cool stuff!
