I had an Evans Viscount 700 a few years ago with that springer. Real fake out as the springs really don't do much of anything. The cushioning effect comes from a rubber block between the fork and frame.

Not a bad price for someone to dicker on a bit. I have one and I’ve had the springer apart. The springs are fixed and for looks only. Any movement comes from a hidden rubber elastomer block. They harden over time so little action. The fork is cool looking though.
