Riding a '38 Autocycle Deluxe
Here is a restored/ rechromed 1937 one year Hockey guard, fits the curved down tube and has the 180/180 front clamp...
not the 36' loop style front clamp version. Rear leg is longer for the curved down tube accomodation.
Guard would be found on 37' Motorbikes and Autocycles... 38' the 'feather' replaced this profile for the
high end bikes.
This guard was rechromed a long while ago but plating still looks pretty good. Pretty straight...overall not absolutely
flawless straightness ...(couple of tiny dings or wavy spots that are so small they don't pick up in the pix)
The one issue is the polishing process created a very hairline crack in the front curve of the top embossed ridge.
VERY hard to notice especially on the bike. This would be ideal for an orig bike... looks quite good actually.
with hardware on board. Check out the pix! Tried to show the area described in pix 3 and 4.
Shooting for 125.00 plus add the postage...
very hard guard to find with the Long rear leg.
