I had a 46 DX frame featuring the tubular fender support like this also.

That threw me off, I’ve never seen one before.

Fatter 1" center bar too, at least it looks like iot, a 46-47 trait I've seen before.

And the survey says.............

I have no idea! The AS&CO is crystal clear. The other side appears to have a 4 on the left and I have no idea what’s on the right. Any idea what that is?

I have basically the same bike as you, except yours is in a lot better shape. Mine is a early 46 with the raised letter seat post clamp, tapered stand and Also has a different rear fender mount. I've looked for a rear fender, off and on for years.

1944? factory using up old parts? may have been changed in its 60+ years on the planet. bike looks solid.
