Fender Braces

Thanks for the help on the rivets guys. Now for the braces. They seem to be painted white....

I'm guessing that they were painted at the time of assembly, because of the paint up at the mounting surface. Is this the way possible? In my limited experience, every fender brace I've seen looked bare metal, or galvanized....

lots of bikes used painted braces, I have found this to be the case especially on Huffman made bikes. and you're right look for places where it would have been unlikely that someone would have been able to get to with the house paint or bug bomb paint can.

Great, thanks Scott.... I see that your from Lancaster, I spent a little time up there while working out at Plant 42. I imagine that its a bit different now.
