Fender question

I want to buy these fenders.

They are Wald 972's and they say the fit bikes w/ 26 x 2- 2.25. My bike has 26 x 1.75. Will these be too big to even fit in my forks? Has anyone used these fenders?

These are the Wald 952's that say they will fit my bike.

I wouldn't mind going with these except for the front fender! It looks way too short Any thoughts? Does anyone have either one of these?
