I was wondering if anybody can tell me the year of this flying Star. I didn't see any serial numbers on it. It's a 2-speed . In decent ridable condition. Shifter works well.

Try looking at the left rear axle should be there on the frame dropout.
If not there check under the bottom crank called ( bottom bracket ) of the cranks.

Not sure,,, check out the Classified section under Complete bikes for sale. GLWTS means Good Luck with the sale!

The serial number was stamped on 8/24/54 and that's probably one of the first built middleweight Flying Stars for the 1955 model year. I believe these were released sometime before the end of 1954 taking your serial number into account. Looks to be an unmolested original.

Yeah got it from the original owner she's had it since she was 21. It's been in a shed the last 20 years.
