Wore out three sets of tires already!
1936 Mead Ranger smooth tank (no gills = no internal horn). Proper tank for 1935-37 Mead Rangers and can be used for 1935-36 Schwinn Cycleplane/Motorbikes.
Original Ranger tank graphics/pin stripes are more prominent on the door side. Door, hinge and latch are complete as-built, and operate and function perfectly. Structurally sound with zero rust-through, pitting, added holes, etc., but has a few bumps here and there and small dents from truss rods. Someone had done a little dent removal on the non-door side towards the front and left it a little high (size of a quarter), all easily correctable. I have left it alone since I have owned it.
I purchased this one two years ago for my 1936 Schwinn Motorbike which is close to being paint-ready, I just don’t feel comfortable stripping the original finish on this one. Been there done that, and purists with pitchforks and torches still occasionally occupy my REM sleep.
Rare tank, super solid rust-free body, battery tray solidly in place (minimal surface rust on inside as shown). Included are the hanging straps and screws, just not shown in my photos, except for the last one (former owner’s photo).
$2,075.00 $1900.00 shipped USPS Priority Mail to the lower 48 only, fully insured for the purchase price. Signature Required for delivery. PayPal Friends and Family, send PP payment to [email protected]
Will be lovingly packed, and terribly missed.
