I bought it with original lights from Brant,I only needed the lights. How can you tell if it's not

Mine has the same numbers 9684 in the cast as well as the hexagon...

The casting on the one for sale seems a little less refined especially where the bracket mounts (posts) to the head shroud. I think after looking at two originals it's a well done reproduction. Still hard to come by part

That is an original - most current reports are plastic and the Jerry Peter's metal reports are really sloppy underneath
