Was purchased a while ago from the original owner, he had the bike in the box & then put it together. He stated that it came disassembled & that he put it together. No mention of repainting, and in my opinion, I can't tell of inconsistencies of paint shades, but the only part of the bike that was cleaned in any form was the chrome. Thats it. The accessories that came with the bike are original, and from my knowledge none of the bike has been put together in parts. Thanks for looking

Great looking bike! I suspect this is a repaint, since original primer color in 1967 was red oxide not grey like I see under the paint chips. Plus the flaked away area that was painted over (seen under the serial number) makes me think repaint. In my experience, even if this bike was still in it's original box, the decals on the frame and shifter would have some sort of slight yellowing from moisture and age. Plus vinyl of seat would be more silver than bright white. Age and time and naturally occurring ozone affect the colors of plastic, vinyl and rubber over 50 years. Plus original cable housings would be a darker grey and would run through shifter notches. Seat strut clamps should be zinc plated and flat grey not shiny chrome. Just my .02...

truly appreciate your insight and response, apologize for my ignorance, hope no one thinks i was trying to scam in anyway, was misinformed, thanks

thanks for the insight, you are correct
... Weinmann brake lever dots and caliper washers should be red instead of gold for '67-'68 ... and brake pads came with 6 bumps instead of the cross cut pattern ...
... You do have a very nice bike ... GLWTS ...
