Cruisin' on my Bluebird
1934 Elgin Blackhawk
I’m in a bit of a downsizing mode and need to simplify my life, so I will be putting some nice bikes up for sale
This bike came to me years ago in original but a bit crusty in condition.
I shipped the frame, tank and rack to Tim Brandt who did a patina restore on the painted parts.
I tried to use as much original chrome parts as possible (rims, bars, crank, sprocket and stem).
I had the forks, truss rods and bracket as well as the head and BB cups re-plated.
This bike has one of the nicest set of original steel clad wood rims that I have seen (Thanks Chris Robertriley) and they spin very true. Laced on Johns black wall tires.
It also has a very nice set of stainless steel fenders that were honed and polished by Joe Buffardi. The fenders have a perfect set of polished cad plated braces as well.
Top all that off with a Red leather button Troxel seat restored by Bob U (Note, black seat is from my other bike and not included)
A nice but untested EA pancake horn, a tea cup light, also untested and a BIKE speedometer.
A set of red block Torrington 10"s (not pictured) will be included.
The bike has been fully serviced and has all new bearings but it has a bit of a popping sound when pedaling which I think is due to a poor chain. Rides great nonetheless but thought I'd mention for the sake of full disclosure.
Overall, a very nice riding and presentable 34 Blackhawk.
Asking $3300.00 or best serious offer. I prefer a local sale at this point but will consider shipping at your cost if no local interest.
I only accept PayPal as FF or cash and carry. Any Q's please convo or email me [email protected]
