Wore out three sets of tires already!
I'm the 2nd owner of this January, 1971 (AG) Suburban. Has dings and scratches, rear wheel needs truing, new tires, new brake pads, right brake lever is an 80's replacement, otherwise all original. It rides great, but it's a bit too small for me. I can make it fit better, but thought I would offer it up for trade before swapping stems, etc. I would trade for a 23"/24" frame 1970-73 Suburban, original Schwinn Varsity Tourist or Continental tourist, or a pre-1970 English 3-speed. Would definitely trade + cash for a really nice original, tall frame bike. Prefer to deal locally only (NY/NJ metro area)

If you have the gumption to head out to Rhode Island i have 2 taller Suburbans in excellent condition. The green is 200, the 1967 varsity is 300

Wish you were closer! That green Suburban is perfect. It's a long drive, and I'd have to make a weekend out of it. My work schedule is crazed until after April 15th. What year is the green Suburban?

The green is a 1971. the 67 Varsity I acquired without fenders then found a 63 varsity drop bar bike and used those fenders on the 67. the quick release wheels are from a 70's Continental. i ride a 71 tall Racer 3 speed frame that I converted to a 5 speed derailer bike

I was able to score this time capsule tall frame 1972 Suburban - all original save for the tires, and trade away the sierra brown '71 Suburban above. Thanks to Ed in Philly for the huge assist!

It sill has the plastic end caps on the shift and brake cables. Serial # is JH - September, 1972. Even the gold decals which usually fade out are fairly vibrant.
