What company made this fork? Original finish appears to have been a nickel plated crown with Robins egg blue for the fork legs.

I have a fork stamped with that V- someone said Davis stamped their forks with a V but unsure myself.
Great looking fork and looks to be for racing.
Is it stamped with a V or an M ?

I posted the actual bike some time ago with no response. Here is a revisit..... Note the offset pair of badge holes. I wonder if the fork was original to this frame? Seems like it was.
