Finally riding a big boys bike
Found a kool mystery frame with a unique fix! Anybody have an idea what it can be? I’m guessing Lovell diamond?

This looks like a front end collision repair. The first bike mechanics were local blacksmiths. During the turn of the century, unpaved, rock harden, dirt and muddy roads left many scorchers and inexperience riders on their backsides and did much havoc; bent, cracked, and mangled frames & forks. It wasn't until much later, paved streets and roadways were prevalent in the US.

I don’t know what your frame is but I have an unknown frame with a similar repair in the same “weak spot” View attachment 1147755

Interesting. I have a similar piece on a postwar cwc bike. Funny thing is it's only one piece it's not a tube cut in half and then riveted over a break. It appears as if it had to slip on so I'm thinking it was a factory reinforcement.
